The symptom
- No stars in Google results; schema has no
aggregateRatingorreview. - Reviews are disabled, or collected in a third-party widget that does not expose schema.
Why it matters
When an assistant picks three stores for "where to buy X", rated products with real reviews win over unrated ones. Google shows stars only from valid, self-collected review markup on the product page.
How to check it yourself
- WooCommerce → Settings → Products → *Enable product reviews*. Any reviews on best-sellers?
- Rich Results Test → Product →
aggregateRating/review.
How to fix it
- Enable reviews and switch on *Show verified owner label* and *Reviews can only be left by verified owners*.
- Send a post-purchase review request 7–14 days after delivery (WooCommerce’s built-in customer-review reminder, or a plugin such as Customer Reviews for WooCommerce). Aim for 3+ reviews per top product.
- Ensure the schema plugin includes
aggregateRating(ratingValue, reviewCount) and individualreviewentries; never mark up ratings that shoppers cannot see on the page. - Mirror reviews to Google via Merchant Center product ratings if you have 50+ reviews.
