Your checkout forces customers to register

The symptom

  1. Checkout shows "You must be logged in to checkout" or mandatory password fields.
  2. WooCommerce → Settings → Accounts & Privacy → *Enable guest checkout* is unticked.

  1. WooCommerce → Settings → Accounts & Privacy.
  2. Test checkout in a private window.

How to fix it

  1. Tick *Enable guest checkout* and *Allow customers to create an account during checkout* (optional, unticked by default).
  2. Offer account creation on the thank-you page instead ("save your details for next time").
